Budget cuts in Dutch arts & culture

 

The dutch government is going to cut down the arts and culture budget, for example taking the 6% tax that is on tickets for festivals and other cultural events up to 19%. Last night there was a protest march in The Hague but I don't think it will help in any way. De Ambachtsmarkt in Soest

Went to our annual market today, awfully busy but nice to see all the people with the traditional Dutch clothes on. It was all about the old dutch craft work.  Even got to see the famous dutch klompendans! Hard to imagine, but the wooden shoes are pretty handy.
